Regional trajectories to the knowledge economy - Nordic-European comparisons (REKENE)

Lead partner: Nordregio

Funded by: Nordisk Innovations Centre (NICe), and the partners

The project addresses the problem that despite many initiatives to promote and stimulate innovation, Norden is still lagging behind the target of the Lisbon and Gothenburg summits.

Developing a knowledge-based economy is vital to be competitive in the global economy. Regions are crucial in this process. Our project operates at the regional level combining in-depth work in firms and in their regional context of public actors, HE institutions, networks of firms and other actors.
